Update: chose the 18 dollar plastic V60 over the ceramic one and now my pour overs taste like wet cardboard
Went back and forth for like an hour in the shop between the plastic Hario V60 and the ceramic one, and the price difference was only about 12 bucks so I went plastic to save a little. Big mistake, because now every cup comes out flat and bitter no matter how slow I pour, and I keep wondering if the ceramic holds heat better and that's the real fix. I already tried pre heating the plastic with boiling water twice and it barely helped. Should I just eat the cost and grab the ceramic, or is there some cheap trick like wrapping the cone in a towel that actually works?
