Tried a $4 plastic funnel from Walmart vs my $22 metal one and the cheap one poured cleaner
So my metal pour over funnel has been dribbling coffee down the side of my mug every morning for a month, and I was about to buy some fancy gooseneck kettle to fix it. Then my roommate handed me this cheap plastic funnel she got for like $4 at Walmart and said just try it. The metal one has this thick rolled rim that traps water and makes it run down the outside, while the plastic one has a thin edge so the coffee just falls straight in. I tested both back to back with the same grind and the cheap one left maybe two drips on the counter vs a whole puddle with the metal one. I've been using that Walmart funnel for 3 weeks now and honestly I feel dumb for almost spending $60 on a kettle I didn't need. Anyone else got a cheap kitchen thing that beat their coffee gear?
