Spent $60 on a bike stand that dumped my Trek on the garage floor twice
I got tired of flipping my bike upside down to fix a flat, so I grabbed a cheap clamp stand online for about $60. First time I used it, the clamp slipped and my bike landed right on my foot in the driveway. Second attempt, the whole thing tipped over and bent my rear derailleur hanger, which cost me another $25 at the shop on 5th Street. I ended up just hanging the bike from two hooks in the ceiling for $12 and it holds way better. Anyone got a clamp stand that actually grips without me holding my breath the whole time?
