Hit 50 tube patches on one tube, still holding air
Patched the same inner tube for the 50th time last Tuesday and it's still going strong on my commuter. I expected it to give up around 30, but the patch kit from the dollar store keeps surprising me. Anyone else keep a tube alive way past its prime just to see how far it goes?

Hell yeah, that's the kind of stubbornness I respect. It's like when you have a pair of jeans with a hole in the knee, you patch it, then the other knee goes, and suddenly you're committed to wearing them until the whole thing falls apart. Same with my old blender, the base is held together with duct tape and it's worked for three years past when I should've thrown it out. We just get attached to the dumbest stuff because fixing it feels like a win over the universe. Fifty patches is basically a trophy at this point.
