Why does nobody talk about how dish soap scent lingers on plastic containers
I noticed this about a month ago when I stored leftover chili in a plastic container I'd washed with a strong lemon dish soap. Three days later I opened it at work in Denver and the chili smelled like a lemon tree, not chili. I tried rinsing it five times with hot water but that fake citrus smell stayed in the plastic. Now I keep a separate bottle of unscented soap just for anything that touches Tupperware. Has anyone else had a scent stick around like this, or is it just certain types of plastic?
