Can we talk about how I booked a $9 hostel in Lisbon and got a free month of coworking out of it?
The hostel owner ran a tiny coworking space downstairs and let me use it for free because I helped him fix the wifi router on day two. Made three friends there who are still in my group chat, and we're meeting up in Chiang Mai in April. Has anyone else gotten a weird bonus like that just from staying somewhere cheap?

Wait, did the owner actually give you that for free or did he just get a month of free IT work out of you? Fixing the wifi router saved him a service call and probably a few hundred bucks, so a free desk seems like a pretty even trade. Cute story, but I wouldn't call a $9 hostel with an unpaid side job a "weird bonus.
