I finally tried that 'glitch art' style everyone's been posting

I was working on a piece in Fresno last month and my tablet driver crashed, corrupting the file with these wild digital tears. Instead of restarting, I leaned into the error and used it as the final texture. Does anyone actually think these effects look better when they're intentional?

My friend had a similar thing happen with a corrupted video file. The glitches it made were these perfect, random color shifts we could never plan. When he tried to recreate it on purpose later, it just looked stiff and fake. The real accident had a life to it. Your story about the driver crash making digital tears is exactly that. The happy mistake often has a feel that forced work just can't match.
