Before and after on my latest piece is night and day, here is what shifted
I posted a sketch of a dragon head last Tuesday and got zero reaction. Then I spent 3 nights reworking the lighting, added a glow behind the wings, and adjusted the jaw line about 20 times. Same pose, same colors almost, but the second version got 140 likes in a day. It was wild to watch. The real difference was studying how light hits scales in a reference photo, not just guessing. I think I was scared to push shadows hard enough before. Has anyone else had a piece flip like that just from redoing the values and not the drawing itself?
