The time a turkey tried to move into my service bay

This was at the old farm shop I worked at outside of Spokane. I was halfway through a fuel filter change on a John Deere 4020 when I heard this weird scratching sound from the corner. Look over, and there's a full grown wild turkey just standing there, staring at me like it's waiting for an oil change. It must have wandered in through the open bay door. I tried to shoo it out with a broom, but the thing just gobbled and hopped up onto a workbench, knocking over a whole tray of 10mm sockets. Took me and two other guys about twenty minutes to herd it back outside with a piece of cardboard. Now I keep a big push broom by the door just in case. Anyone else ever had wildlife try to join the crew?

My uncle's auto shop in Boise had a family of skunks living under the lift for a month. It feels like animals are just looking for a dry, quiet spot to call home these days.

My buddy who runs a small engine repair shop had a raccoon set up shop in his parts cabinet once. It had pulled out all the air filter boxes to make a nest and just glared at him when he opened the door. Took him a whole weekend to safely get it and its kits out of there.
