Serious question about password managers and my old boss's advice
I had to pick between using a password manager for everything or sticking with my old method of writing passwords in a notebook. My old boss told me notebooks are safer cause hackers can't steal a physical book. I went with the password manager after my desk got flooded and ruined my notebook with 3 years of passwords saved in it. The manager is working fine so far but I keep second guessing myself. Has anyone else had a notebook fail on them and regret not switching sooner?

Oh man, the notebook method. I had a notebook that got left in my car on a hot day and the ink literally melted into one big blurry mess. That's when I learned my passwords were actually just... smudges with good intentions. Password manager has been solid for me ever since, especially since my memory is already broken enough without losing a physical backup too. You're probably fine sticking with it, I know I wish I'd ditched the notebook disaster years ago.
