I just started using a password manager and it flagged a bunch of my old logins as compromised.
It found that my email from a 2017 data breach was still active on several shopping sites. Has anyone else had to do a major cleanup like this?

Ugh, that cleanup process is the worst part of using a password manager. Finding those old accounts feels like digital archaeology, digging up stuff you wish stayed buried. It's frustrating to see how many places have your old data just sitting there. You're right to tackle it, even if it's a huge pain. That manual account deletion struggle is a real thing, and it makes the whole job take twice as long. Solidarity on the boring but necessary project.

Been there. My password manager found old accounts on sites I forgot existed, like a defunct t-shirt store and a movie ticket site. Had to go through each one, change the password, and close the account if I didn't use it anymore. It's a boring hour of work but stops those old breaches from causing new problems.

Forget the boring hour, @richard_nelson. The real pain is when you try to close the account and the website is so broken the "delete account" button just doesn't work. You end up stuck with a dead profile you can't kill, which feels worse than just leaving it open. I had to email one company's support to beg them to remove my data manually. It turns a simple cleanup into a whole project.
