Booked the inside cabin over the balcony to save $700 and I'd do it again
Everyone on here says you have to get a balcony or the trip is ruined, but I went the other way on a 7 day run out of Miami and booked the cheapest inside cabin, saved right around $700 over the balcony price. People kept saying I'd feel trapped with no window, but honestly after the first day I barely noticed, we were up on deck or in the buffet the whole time and the room was just for sleeping and showering. The one thing that did bug me was no natural light when I wanted a nap at 2pm, so I propped a flashlight on the nightstand for a fake sunbeam, felt a little silly but it worked. That $700 went toward two excursions and the drink package, which made way more of a difference in how the week went than a little railing would have. We're rebooking for next spring and I'm picking inside again without a second thought. Am I the only one who thinks the balcony thing is way overblown, or are there other inside cabin people out there?
