The handyman who knew my house better than I did

I hired a local handyman in Dayton to fix a loose porch step, and after 20 minutes he told me my neighbor had been watching my place every Thursday for the past 6 months because of how the blinds moved. He pointed out small things I never noticed, like the back gate being left unlatched only on garbage day and a tuft of hair stuck on the fence line that matched their dog. Has anyone else had a stranger clue them into something weird about their own neighborhood, and did you act on it or brush it off?
