Saw my neighbor's shed light on at 3am for the 12th night straight and finally figured out why
I live in a duplex in Akron and my neighbor Gary's shed sits about 15 feet from my bedroom window. For almost two weeks now that little square window has been lit up at the exact same time, 3am, and I kept telling myself he was just doing woodworking or something. Last Thursday I walked my dog past the fence around 3:15 and heard what sounded like a crowd of people talking low, maybe five or six voices, but when I peeked through the gap there was nobody in there but him. He was sitting at a card table with a chess board and a old cassette recorder, moving pieces for both sides and talking into the mic like he was calling a match. I asked him Friday morning how the games were going and he just smiled and told me he plays the same guy from Tucson every night, over the radio. Has anyone else had a neighbor who keeps a whole routine going at 3am like that?
