Pro tip: Let your story ideas sit in a drawer for a while
Back then, I'd write a prompt and forget about it for a year. Digging it up later always sparked something fresh, unlike forcing it out on the spot.

Remember finding an old notebook full of half baked concepts I'd completely forgotten. That distance let me see the core of an idea without all the pressure I had originally put on it. Sometimes the story just needs you to walk away so it can grow on its own.
