Checked an old load chart and realized I've been under-rating my crane for 3 years

I was going through some old manuals last night and found the original load chart for my Grove RT530E. Turns out the max capacity at 10 feet radius is 30 tons, not 25 like I've been using since I bought it used in 2021. The previous owner must have told me the wrong number and I never double checked. I looked it up on the Crane Manufacturers Association site to verify and yeah, I've been leaving 5 tons on the table this whole time. Now I gotta redo some lift plans I submitted to the site super last week. Has anyone else found a big mistake in their rigging paperwork that was staring them right in the face?

Man I felt that one. At least I'm not the only one driving blind!

The brake pads on my '08 Civic went out last Tuesday at a four-way stop. Nothing like that sickening crunch to remind you why you check things before winter hits. I'm now religiously checking fluid levels every Sunday morning, feels like the bare minimum but it's saved me twice already.
