Am I the only one who didn't know the load chart changes when you're on outriggers vs tracks?
I sat in a safety meeting in Houston two weeks ago and the trainer pulled up a chart showing a 90 ton pick at 40 feet radius drops to almost half capacity if you're setup on rubber instead of full outriggers. I always figured the chart was the chart, nobody ever walked me through that at my first job. Now I keep a laminated card taped inside my cab so I don't have to guess on short picks. Any of you run into this talk on your sites, or is it just my company finally catching up?
