Why does nobody talk about how stressful the Stardew Valley Fair actually is?

I used to love the fall fair in Stardew, everyone posts those cute grange display pics and the little spinner game. But last week I spent like 4 real-life hours trying to win the fishing minigame for that stardrop, and I missed the whole festival vibe. I was so focused on winning I didn't even talk to my NPC friends or see the pumpkin statue. Now I just walk around the fair, maybe buy a rarecrow, and leave. Has anyone else stopped caring about the competitive stuff in cozy games after one bad day?
