Switched to morning fishing in Stardew and my whole farm game changed

I spent 40 hours fishing at night because the soundtrack felt cozier, but the fish variety is way worse. Tried one morning session at the mountain lake last Saturday and caught 3 catfish before 9am, now I'm kicking myself for all that wasted time. Anyone else find a simple time switch that made a huge difference in their playthrough?

The night soundtrack is legit cozy, I totally get that. But yeah, once I switched to mornings at the river by my house, I started pulling in bass and pike like crazy before work. It took me a whole season to realize the time of day matters way more than I thought, so you're not alone there.
