PSA: Learned the hard way that cleaning your brushes with dish soap strips them over time
I was wondering why my synthetic brushes felt like straw after a few months. Turns out Dawn was dissolving the glue on the ferrule and drying out the bristles. Anyone else had this happen before switching to a brush cleaner?

Ugh yes, I had the exact same problem with a Morphe brush set. The bristles started shedding like crazy after just two washes with Dawn. I finally switched to a gentle baby shampoo mixed with a little olive oil and it’s been way better, the bristles feel soft again and the glue is holding up fine. Just gotta be really gentle when you rinse and dry them flat.
