That moment my router died mid-zoom and I blamed the ISP for an hour
Was in my home office last Thursday trying to submit a big report when my internet cut out completely, I spent 45 minutes fighting with customer service before I noticed the power light was off on the router itself - just a loose cord behind my desk. Anyone else waste time blaming the wrong thing first before checking the obvious?

Worst part is you spend all that time getting mad at the wrong thing and then you feel like an idiot when you find the real problem... happens way more often than I like to admit. The outage itself is bad enough but then you've already called and yelled at someone so now you gotta call back and apologize which is just extra awkward on top of everything. Power cords and ethernet cables are the sneakiest culprits because they look fine but one little bump and they're done for. Next time the internet drops I'm gonna check the cables first before I even bother with the ISP's automated menu system.
