PSA: I counted 47 'For Sale' signs in one 15 minute drive through my town in Ohio and I don't think it's just the economy
Drove my kid to practice last Thursday, took the same route I've taken for 3 years. Started counting out of boredom. 47 signs between my street and the ball fields. Same route last spring? Maybe 12. Neighbor says it's rates, another guy swears it's a developer buying up lots cheap before something gets announced. I don't know what to believe but the timing is weird. Anyone else seeing clusters like this in their area or am I reading too much into signs?

That spring vs fall detail is what stands out to me. A lot of people list in spring anyway, so going from 12 to 47 on the same route in a few months is a big jump. One thing nobody mentioned: check your county auditor's site. Sales get logged there, and you can see if one buyer or LLC is picking up a bunch of parcels on the same street. I did that in my parents' neighborhood and found out a single company owned 9 houses in a 3 block area. They'd been sitting quiet for two years before any news came out. The signs might just be the first part of something bigger.
