Hot take: picking 4000 psi mix over 3000 for a driveway slab in Fort Worth almost bit me
I went with the hotter mix on a 12x20 drive because the homeowner kept saying his brother in law is a "concrete guy," and it set up so fast in the July heat that I barely got my tool on it. Had to add water at the truck just to keep it workable, which is exactly what I was trying to avoid. Anyone got a rule for when the higher PSI is worth the trade off in heat like that?

Same thing happens with grilling: folks crank the heat thinking hotter equals better, then everything burns.
