Walked into a shop in Boise still running a Pentium 4 on the front desk
Stopped by a repair shop in Boise last week and the guy had a Pentium 4 with 512MB of RAM at his front counter, still printing invoices every day. He keeps a stack of spare power supplies under the desk and a box of DDR2 sticks he's been refilling for about $8 a pop since 2009. I asked him when he plans to swap it out and he just shrugged.

Had the same setup at a print shop I used to go to, old Dell running XP with a dot matrix printer that sounded like a jackhammer. Guy swore the software he used for invoices only ran on that thing and he wasn't about to pay for a new license. What finally worked was me offering to set up a cheap refurb with a virtual machine so the old program would still run. Took a Saturday afternoon and maybe $120 in parts, and he was off that Pentium within a month. He kept the old tower on a shelf for like a year though, just in case. Some guys just don't trust anything newer than what already works.
