Odd milestone: 47 people signed up in two weeks and I thought that was a problem

We started our little library in a shed behind the community center. I honestly expected maybe 12 members after a month. Hit 47 by day 14. Instead of being excited, my first thought was how are we going to track all this with one notebook and a free spreadsheet. It forced us to build a real checkout system way earlier than planned. Turns out the demand was there, I just didn't trust it. Anyone else have a number that felt more like a headache than a win at first?
