Just realized I've been using the library's post hole digger as a giant apple corer for my backyard trees.

The moment I saw my neighbor's perfectly round holes next to my weird, spiraled trenches, I knew something was off.

Your spiraled trenches probably aerate better than @davis.emma's neat holes.

That post hole digger is probably tougher than any apple core.
