Tried two ways of running our block's text group and the second one actually worked
Our street has 42 houses and we started a group chat for the block last spring, and at first we just added everyone and let it rip. It turned into 200 messages a day about lost cats and package thieves and half the street muted it within a month. Then we switched to one shared calendar and a rule that only the block captain posts, with a Friday summary of 5 lines max, and now 30 of the 42 houses actually read it. Anyone else had luck with a low traffic format, or does your group still drown in replies?
