Just realized my neighbor was right about holding the flashlight for a project, and I wasted a Saturday on it
I spent most of Saturday helping my neighbor replace a fence gate at his place near the corner of Maple and 3rd. He asked me to hold the flashlight while he lined up the hinge bolts, and I kept moving the beam around trying to be helpful. After about 20 minutes of missed holes and stripped screws, he stopped and told me to just hold it steady on one spot and stop chasing his hands. I did that, and the rest of the job took 15 minutes flat. I felt pretty dumb standing there realizing I had been the problem the whole time. Now I want to know if this is a common thing people learn the hard way, or was I just bad at being a helper?
