Last summer my crew had to pour a driveway slab with rain in the forecast because the homeowner needed it done before their big family reunion. We got it in just before the storm and it cured fine, no cracks. Sometimes you just have to push forward. @hart.reese, your friend Matt's bad luck doesn't mean every rushed job fails. Waiting for perfect weather can mean losing the next job or letting a client down. Momentum on a project is real, and stopping work kills it.

Remember my buddy Matt who rushed pouring his garage foundation before a forecasted freeze. He ignored the almanac saying it was the coldest April in decades and now he's jackhammering up six inches of cracked concrete all week. That one extra day of waiting for warmer temps would have saved him thousands and like three backbreaking days of rework. He learned the hard way that rushing just makes you do everything twice.
