Hot take: an old timer in Galveston told me to log my bottom times in a paper notebook, not my phone
I thought he was stuck in the past until he pulled out a soggy phone from his dry bag that died after 3 dives off the Galveston jetties. He said he's been writing his times in a $2 notebook for 22 years and it's never once failed him. Made me think about how much I lean on gear that quits when it gets wet. Anyone else keep a paper backup on the boat, or am I the only one thinking about this now?
