I remember when folks would trade comics and argue about story arcs for hours. These days, it's all about merch lines and celebrity photos. Sure, it's bigger and flashier, but the core fan connection seems weaker. Do you prefer the old way or the new scene?

New York Comic Con has more vendors than fan panels.

Yeah, that point about more vendors than panels hits the nail on the head. It feels like the whole goal shifted from sharing a love for the stories to just moving product. You used to go and make friends over a shared interest, and now you just stand in a bunch of separate lines all day to buy stuff. The heart of it, that community feeling, gets totally lost when it becomes a shopping trip. I definitely miss the old way.
