I found out that my "Hello World" program was actually 200 lines of someone else's code

So I was going through this GitHub repo for a beginner coding course I took last month, and I realized the example "Hello World" I copied had like 200 lines of setup code for a GUI framework. I thought I was just learning the basics, lol. Turns out the original file was from a college project someone posted online. Has anyone else copied code and later found out it was way more complicated than they thought?

Wait, did you actually understand any of it when you copied it?
