Used to indicate every part by hand with a sharpie, now I let the probe do it and cut setup time in half
For years I would grab a sharpie and mark every jaw position on a setup sheet before touching the control, which ate up 20 minutes on a 6 part run at the shop in Dayton. Last month a guy on second shift showed me how to touch off with the probe and store the offsets in the work coordinate page so the next op picks up the same numbers without me redoing anything. Anyone else switched over to probing and found it faster, or do you still trust your marker more?
