Finally got that fancy coolant filter for the old Haas

Dropped about $180 on a magnetic coolant filter for our VF-2 at the shop. The old coolant was always getting full of fines and messing with the finish on aluminum parts. Put it on last Tuesday and the difference is crazy, parts look way cleaner and I'm not cleaning the tank out every other day. Anyone have a good way to tell when the filter is actually full and needs cleaning?

Oh man, that reminds me of a buddy who put one on his mill. He said he just waits until he sees the coolant flow at the tool start to drop off a little, which for him is about every three weeks. He marks his shop calendar when he cleans it so he has a rough idea for next time.
