Rain delay turned a simple sweep into a two-day ordeal.

Scheduled a chimney cleaning for Tuesday. The rain started and wouldn't let up, so I had to reschedule. What do you do when weather messes with your timeline?

Yeah, that forecast can be so wrong sometimes. I was reading something about how some guys just add a couple of 'bad weather' days to their schedule each month as a buffer. Like, they don't book those days solid, so when rain hits, they just slide everything over into those empty slots. Seems smart, but I guess you have to be busy enough to afford holding those days open. Might be worth trying.

Forget trying to outsmart the weather. That buffer day idea just wastes good working time you could be booking. It's better to pack your schedule tight and just deal with rescheduling when you have to.

Isn't it the worst when weather just wrecks your schedule? I had a gutter cleaning booked for a clear day last week. Then it rained for three days straight without stopping. Had to reschedule twice because the ground was too soggy to work safely. The client got annoyed, and I lost time on other jobs. Now I check the forecast all the time, but it still gets messed up.
