Old rotary brush finally gave up, found a better way to clean offsets
After 12 years my rotary brush snapped clean off mid-job on a two-story in Portland. I was about to order the same one, but a retired sweeper I ran into at the supply house told me to try a flexible chain whip instead. Took me a couple of practice runs on a spare pipe, but it gets into those tight offset bends way better and leaves less soot on the floor. Has anyone else switched from rotary to chain and noticed the difference on older chimneys?
