Overheard a couple arguing about their $40 'cheap' dinner
Was at the library downtown last week and heard a guy tell his date they had to skip their usual taco Tuesday because even the basic spots near the stadium charge $12 a plate now. That adds up fast when you add drinks and a tip. My takeaway is we started doing a rotating potluck with two other couples, each of us spends about $15 for a full spread and nobody feels broke. Anyone else switched to group cooking nights instead of eating out?
