Museum memberships are the secret cheap date hack in Philly
My girlfriend and I were broke last winter and wanted stuff to do besides sitting in her apartment. I found out the Philadelphia Museum of Art has a $20 membership tier for two people, and it gets you in free every single day. That's basically two movie tickets, but we've gone like 12 times since January for the same cost. We pack our own snacks and do the free Friday night events too. Anyone else found a local membership that pays for itself super fast?
The $20 two-person tier at the art museum is a steal, same deal at the Please Touch Museum if you have kids or nieces and nephews. It's the same trick as buying a season pass at Wissahickon or a Costco card, you pay once and then every visit after that is basically free. Most people just never do the math on how fast a membership pays off.
