Dropped $65 on one of those paint and sip nights for our anniversary and I'm still annoyed about it
Honestly I thought it would be a fun cheap-ish thing for me and my girlfriend, but between the $65 tickets, the $9 glasses of wine, and the 'instructor' rushing us through a painting of a beach sunset in 90 minutes, we walked out $110 lighter with two canvases that look like a toddler got into the acrylics. Ngl the whole thing felt like a factory, 20 people crammed at folding tables, and nobody actually talked to each other because we were all stressed about keeping up. What convinced me to swear it off was watching the couple next to us, who paid the same as us, just sit there and scroll their phones halfway through because they were so bored. For that money we could've done three nice picnic dates at the park with fancy cheese, so has anyone found a paint night that's actually worth it, or is this just how they all are?
