Chose the $6 bowling alley over the $40 dinner spot and honestly it was the better night
My wife and I had our 5 year anniversary coming up and we were stuck between two plans. Option one was this fancy place downtown where the entrees run $22 to $30 each, so with drinks and tip we were looking at almost $80 for one meal. Option two was the old bowling alley on 4th that does $6 per person per game and has $2 hot dogs on Tuesdays. We went with bowling and ended up spending $26 total for three games, shoes, and food. Here is the thing nobody tells you, we laughed way more that night than at any dinner where we just sat across a table staring at our phones. I bowled a 71 and she crushed me with a 108, and we still talk about it. Anyone else pick the cheap option and end up liking it more than the pricey one?
