That $45 chainmail scrubber nearly ruined my seasoning job
I bought a chainmail scrubber off Amazon last week thinking it would finally fix my crusty skillet. Used it with hot water and maybe too much elbow grease, and it scraped right down to bare metal in two spots. I mean, I know they're popular but nobody warned me about the edge of the links digging in. Cost me $45 plus another hour of re-seasoning with three thin oil layers. Has anyone else had this happen or did I just push way too hard?
