Walked through a new build in Charlotte and spotted the laziest crown molding I've ever seen

The gaps were so bad I could fit my pinky finger in them, and the guy used caulk thicker than the actual wood. Has anyone else noticed builders getting sloppier with trim work lately?

Call that crown molding the "yeah close enough" special. Builders are speed running homes now and hoping caulk hides all their sins. At least you can feel your way around the room in the dark now.
