Pulled a full 12-footer out of a single oak log last Tuesday

I've been milling my own lumber for about 3 years now and finally got a board that long with no cracks or knots. Took me half the day to set up the chainsaw mill just right but man was it worth it. Anybody else ever hit a personal best on a single board length?

You know what, I used to think chainsaw milling was just too much work for what you get out of it. But pulling a board that clean and that long changes your whole perspective on the whole process. It's like all that setup time and fighting with the saw just disappears when you see a piece that beautiful. That 12-footer is a real trophy, man. Definitely makes me want to try harder for that perfect length next time I'm out.

Holy cow, that's awesome! I pulled a 10-footer out of a white oak last spring and thought I was king of the world, haha.
