The project manager blew up at me in front of everyone and I totally changed how I handle feedback
I was at my desk at the HubSpot office in Cambridge last Tuesday when Sarah from marketing starting yelling about a report I'd sent over. She said the numbers on page 3 were off by like 12 grand and I froze up at first, wanted to argue back. Instead I just asked her to walk me through where I messed up and turns out she was right. Now when someone calls me out I just listen first and ask questions instead of getting defensive. Anyone else have a moment where getting roasted actually helped you get better at your job?
