Rain killed my Saturday hike, so I flipped a coin between the museum and a movie marathon
Last Saturday I had a hike planned up at Bear Creek with two friends, but the forecast dumped 2 inches of rain on us by 8am. We stood in my kitchen trying to decide: go to the natural history museum downtown or just camp out and watch all three extended Lord of the Rings movies. I picked the museum, mainly because I hadn't been since 2019 and it was only $12 with my student ID. Turns out the new dinosaur hall opened two months ago and we spent almost four hours there. My one friend kept reading every single plaque out loud which got old by hour two. We grabbed tacos after and honestly it was a better day than the hike would have been. What do you all default to when outdoor plans get rained out?
