I compared JIS screwdrivers to regular Phillips on a Minolta and the JIS won by a mile

Been repairing a beat up Minolta SRT-101 I picked up at a flea market for $15. Stripped two screws with my standard Phillips set before I learned about the JIS standard. Grabbed a vessel JIS screwdriver set for like $25 on amazon. The fit is way tighter and I didn't cam out even on screws that were already chewed up a bit. Has anyone else found certain brands of JIS drivers work better or are they all pretty similar?

Tried the Anex JIS drivers from Japan and they fit even better than my Vessels somehow.

Read on the JIS thread on Garage Journal that Anex actually licensed the original JIS spec from the Japanese government back in the 80s, so they're basically the closest you can get to the real deal. Makes sense why Vessels would feel a bit looser if they're technically a hybrid driver. Heard the same guy say he stripped a screw on a old Yamaha bike with a regular Phillips but the Anex grabbed it like a magnet.
