Dropped $340 on a 'mint' CLA kit from a forum guy and half the seals were dried out garbage
Saw a post on a FB group from a guy in Phoenix selling a full light seal kit plus tools for a Nikon F2, said it was all new old stock and never opened. I sent him $340 through PayPal friends and family like an idiot because he had good feedback and I was in a rush on a Friday job. Box shows up and the foam strips crumble the second I touch them, plus the spanner wrench is a cheap knockoff that stripped on my second ring. Now I'm out the cash, the camera sits open on my bench, and the guy ghosted me after one message. Has anyone found a supplier that actually ships fresh seal material, or am I stuck ordering small batches straight from Japan now?
