Rant: The before and after on a job I did in Austin last year was wild

I was running RG6 in this old house built in the 80s, and the customer had this rat's nest of splitters and old cable from three different providers. After I ripped it all out and put in a proper home run setup with compression fittings, the signal went from barely pulling in 12 channels to getting every single one crystal clear. The homeowner said it was like getting a whole new TV service without paying a dime more. Has anyone else seen a huge jump just from cleaning up old wiring?

Oh man, that brings back a memory. A buddy of mine up in Waco had the exact same thing happen with his folks' house. They were using some old RG59 that was probably original to the place from the 70s and the picture was just fuzzy on everything. He spent a Saturday re-running it all with new RG6 and proper ends, and his dad said the HD channels looked better than they ever had. It was like they had been watching through a dirty window their whole lives and finally cleaned it.
