Am I the only one who thought the $28 tester was a gimmick
Been running a coax line to a customer's back bedroom in Mesa last Friday and kept getting a -12 dBmV reading at the outlet, so I almost started swapping splitters. The kid I work with pulled out his $28 Klein scout and found a staple I'd nicked through the jacket about 6 feet back from the plate, which saved me from tearing out the whole run. Any of you keep one of those cheap testers in your bag for the simple stuff, or do you just drag the big meter in every time?
