Watched a job site in Tulsa run out of screws twice in one morning, so I changed how I order supplies
I was running a roof in Tulsa last Tuesday and my crew burned through 800 screws before lunch, which meant two separate supply runs and half a day of lost work. I started counting how many fasteners each crew actually uses per square instead of trusting the old guess, and it turned out we were short on every single order. Does anyone else track usage by the job instead of just reordering when the bin looks low?
